Free Legal Consultations for Foreign Residents “Multilingual Houterasu”
GCI’s “Multilingual Houterasu” provides Foreign Residents needing help with the Japanese language access to legal support while being supported by an interpreter.
Partnership with the Japan Legal Support Centre (Houterasu)
In 2017, Global Community Interaction (GCI) received official approval from the Japan Legal Support Center (Houterasu) for hosting a “designated consulting site for free legal consultations for foreign residents”. These Consultations with legal experts are free of charge initially with the help of an GCI interpreter.

Location：TVAC(;Tokyo Voluntary Action Center)
Address：10th Floor, 1-1, Central Plaza, Kaguragashi, Shinjyuku-ku, Tokyo (next to Iidabashi train station)
Date and Time：3rd Friday of every month, from 7 pm to 9 pm; additional monthly session may be held on a Saturday or Sunday depending on interest.
Open to：Foreign residents and their family / friends living in Japan.

We will protect your privacy by keeping everything discussed strictly confidential.
As designees of Japan Legal Support Center’s program, we work closely with our volunteer interpreters and our external judicial scrivener to assist foreign residents on legal matters in Japan.
